The Stabroek Laboratories was founded in 1992 by Mr. Cordell A. Deane, M.S. out of a need to assist physicians’ laboratories in meeting the compliance rules of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act of 1988 (CLIA).

Mr. Deane’s extensive experience in Regulatory Compliance Policies and Procedures, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance programs made the company’s initial focus, these vitally important areas.

In 1993, Stabroek Laboratories expanded its services to include medical testing and Phlebotomy services. These services soon became the core of Stabroek Laboratories’ business and warranted a move to a larger location. The company now offers numerous testing services that include Drug screening, HIV and Cholesterol testing.

Stabroek Laboratories also provides consulting services to Physicians’ Laboratories in the CLIA compliance, Quality Control and Quality Assurance disciplines.
